Rules for Public Service Announcements (PSA's)
and Community Calendar Announcements

1. PSA's are strictly local in scope (i.e. NW Wis or NE Minn)

2. PSA's are strictly for events for which there is no PAID media purchased (i.e., if you buy an ad somewhere else, don't ask us to run your announcement for free)

3. PSA's should be submitted to the following e-mail address:  kuwspsa@yahoo.com at least 14 days before your event

4. All PSA's are read live by our announcers on a rotating basis -- we can make no promises about how often your event will be mentioned or even if it will be mentioned.

5. When you write your PSA, do NOT write a "commercial."  Please use the format below

6. You must list a contact phone number or e-mail in your submission

• Don't use a bunch of adjectives -- we'll just have to edit them out anyway

• Stick to the facts (what, when, where, who is sponsoring, how much does it cost, contact info)

• "The Sons of Norway will hold their annual lefse feed Sunday, December 7th, at 1:00 p.m. in the First Lutheran Church Basement.  The church is located at the corner of Catlin Avenue and North 28th street in Superior.  Tickets are $4.00 in advance and $5.00 at the door.  For more information call Hjelmer Olson at 555-1212"
